Alarm Management Specialist

aeSolutions, a leading provider of process safety solutions to industrial clients across a wide range of industries, is seeking an experienced Process Safety Engineer to join our team and facilitate alarm management/rationalization studies for clients across the country.

The person in this role will guide industrial clients in their efforts to improve and optimize their operations by facilitating alarm management/rationalization studies both in-person and remotely. Highly qualified applicants will have experience developing and implementing alarm management strategies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and will be able to identify potential hazards and risks associated with alarm systems and work with clients to develop effective mitigation measures. Knowledge of instrumentation and facilitating PHA/LOPA studies will be highly valued.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Process Safety with exposure to alarm management/rationalization studies
  • Previous experience facilitating studies using the HAZOP/LOPA methodology
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to alarm management, including ANSI/ISA 18.2 and API 1167
  • Experience in reading and interpreting process safety information such as Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Control Narratives, and Cause and Effects matrices
  • Basic knowledge in instrumentation and controls
  • The willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally;  Valid driver's license required
  • Organizational skills to work on multiple projects in parallel with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams
