Industrial Electrical Design Engineer

aeSolutions, a provider of Safety and Control Systems in multi-industry applications, is looking for an Industrial Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Houston; this position may be filled in Louisiana by the right candidate. The person in this position will join one of the industry leaders in Process Safety and Automation Project Solutions, and will support projects throughout the country, traveling to client sites to identify project goals and develop estimates, equipment and installation specifications, and electrical drawings. This person will also be tasked with developing, evaluating, designing, commissioning, and acceptance testing of electrical control equipment. This person needs to be very comfortable in the field working with and supervising construction contractors, installation, cutover strategies, etc.
The individual in this position will have an opportunity to gain technical experience and knowledge in a variety of systems, working alongside an experienced team dedicated to client success. You will be exposed to instrumentation and control equipment and will learn the application of NFPA and API industry codes and standards. Additionally, aeSolutions encourages and supports personal and professional development, with access to a robust Learning Management System and bonuses for earning certifications and licenses.
Success in this position will be evaluated by delivering the desired outcomes for our clients as defined in the project scope, budget, and schedule. Performance will also be evaluated for quality and compliance with industry and Company standards.

Qualifications / Experience:
- A Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable technical degree, plus at least 5 years additional relevant experience
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70 National Electric Code (NEC)
- Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, & MS Office software
- The willingness and ability to travel up to 35% of the time
- Valid driver's license required
