Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) Facilitator

We are hiring a Process Safety Specialist to support our engineering services in hazard analysis, studies, scribe tasks and reports, with a focus on Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) Facilitation.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Serve as PRM Team Support or Facilitator on PHA Revalidations, simple to moderate complex Process System PHAs/LOPAs
  • Take project lead or supporting role in ensuring the study preparation, team meetings, and reports are accurate, complete, and meet the regulatory, client, and industry requirements
  • Support projects in specialized areas of PSM including procedure development, training course development, support of management of change implementation and compliance audits
  • Provide QA/QC to ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and meet the regulatory, client, and industry requirements
  • Act as a Technical Lead on projects with multiple team members
  • Provide oversight, training, and review of Scribes, Modelers, and Junior Auditors
  • Provide customer and opportunity support that fosters repeat business. Understand and communicate the inter-relationships of our Lines of Business
Qualifications / Experience:

To be considered for the role of PRM Principal Specialist, applicants must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineer preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years engineering experience in Process Safety relating to one of the core PRM deliverables listed above
  • Experience with PHA software (e.g. aeFaciliator, PHA Pro, PHA Works, etc.)
  • Technical competence in:
    • PHA facilitation (What-If, HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, etc.) Must have at least 10 PHAs and 10 LOPA studies in the past three years
    • Safety and Risk Management
    • Chemical reactivity hazards
    • Facility siting analysis
    • PSM Auditing
    • Program and Procedure creation, review, development
