Engineering Sales & Business Development Manager

We are hiring Sales & Business Development Manager for our Houston engineering office. This person will be responsible for leading the business development, marketing, and sales activities and performance of our Gulf Coast region, selling turn-key automation engineering projects in the $250,000-$2,500,000 range, as well as process safety, cybersecurity, and automation services and products. This person will take point in driving customer relationship and business development initiatives.

To be successful in this role, the Sales & Business Development Manager will need to excel at developing new and existing customer leads, from initial contact to requests for proposals, all while working closely with our technical leaders to ensure scope requirements are documented, the competitive environment is researched, and client decision makers are kept up to date.
The Sales & Business Development Manager will need to be comfortable starting and growing relationships with clients and industry partners, coming up with innovative strategies to meet the company's sales goals.
Performance in this position will be measured against annual sales goal targets, development of client relationships, and growth of sales opportunities.

As this Sales & Business Manager will be working with some of the best technical minds in the business, our search will focus on applicants who possess the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical), Computer Science, Marketing, or Business
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or program management, specifically in an engineering services company
  • Experience with multi-discipline engineering projects
  • Experience in the Houston market highly preferred
  • Proficiency in lead management software as well as the MS Office suite

This position should expect 50% or greater travel, and will require a valid Driver's License.
