aeSolutions is hiring a Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) Group Manager to join our team in our Anchorage Alaska office. The person in this role will be directly responsible for the supervision, production, and development of our SIS group, overseeing the quality of work and the balancing of the team’s workload. This person will manage up to 10 employees, handling hiring, promotion, and termination decisions, meeting utilization goals for the group, training and mentoring staff on SIS Front End Loading (FEL) services and deliverables, and developing procedures and processes used by the group for day to day activities.

The SIS Group Manager will also be expected to maintain and demonstrate a high level of technical competency in SIS FEL services.

Performance in this position will be measured against achievement of annual group utilization and retention goals, demonstration of leadership in communication and support of business objectives, policies, and processes, and the production of quality, timely technical services within project budgets.

This is an opportunity to join and lead a highly-skilled, highly-dedicated group of SIS engineers who are providing critical process safety services to our Alaska clients.
Highly qualified candidates will possess:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant technical experience (including experience in I&C / Instrumentation & Controls engineering, Safety Instrumented Systems design, Front End Loading design, proposals, and process safety; plant and capital project experience preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience directly managing or leading a team of engineers
  • Working knowledge of ISA 84, IEC 61511 or IEC 61508 is highly desired
  • PE, CFSP/CFSE, or ISA-84 Certifications are preferred
