IT Specialist

We are hiring an IT Specialist for our Greenville office to provide support to end users, primarily engineers and designers, on a variety of IT issues. The person in this role will identify, research, and resolve technical problems while responding to phone calls, email, and personal requests for technical support. This person will work with internal customers locally and remotely and will be responsible for ensuring a high level of service at all times.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Receive, log and escalate service requests as a first point of contact following agreed procedures
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of hardware and software issues; Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems; document, track and monitor the issue to ensure a timely resolution 
  • Configure and distribute newly acquired equipment; Install and configure workstations; create and manage workstation deployment images
  • Provide user training on common internal systems
  • Create training materials, instructions, and processes for end users
  • Provide technically sound solutions to user problems by staying up-to-date on relevant product offerings, support policies, and methods of support delivery

Qualifications / Experience:
  • Associate’s Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of experience working a help desk
  • 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting Windows 7/10
  • 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting client networking issues
  • 1-3 years of experience with virtual machines
  • Any experience deploying applications with System Center Configuration Manger
